Pair of Main Card Parlays for UFC Fight Night 68 in New Orleans

Tim BoetschUFC Fight Night 68 Date: June 6, 2015 Arena: Smoothie King Center City: New Orleans, Louisiana The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to New Orleans, LA this Saturday night (June 6th, 2015) with UFC Fight Night 68: Henderson vs Boetsch. The 12-fight card will feature a six fight main card to be live on FOX Sports 1 at 10pm ET, and preliminary action will precede it on the same channel at 8pm ET, with a pair of bouts streaming live prior to that on UFC Fight Pass at 7pm ET. If interested in wagering on these parlays, or any other plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my pair of main card parlays for UFC Fight Night 68 in New Orleans: Middleweight bout: Dan Henderson (+165) vs Tim Boetsch (-190) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Boetsch should be a -280 betting favorite heading into this main event middleweight match-up, so I see enough value in him in his current betting tag of -190 to include him in my two-teamer for the main card of UFC Fight Night 68 in New Orleans. I see Boetsch using his speed advantage in this contest to outstrike Henderson on the feet. Contrary to popular opinion, I am favoring him to outpoint the veteran over the course of five rounds rather than finishing him, despite the fact that he has been finished in his three previous defeats. Outside of landing a lucky H Bomb, I don’t see how Henderson wins this fight at this stage in his career. As long as he avoids the big punch, Boetsch should win this fight, the real question is the how. A finish would certainly bo no surprise to me, but I think we will see these warriors exchange in 25-minutes of action. Gabe’s Call: Boetsch by Unanimous Decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-46) Heavyweight bout: Ben Rothwell (+165) vs Matt Mitrione (-190) Gabe’s Thoughts: I believe Mitrione is the superior striker heading into this heavywight co-main event contest this weekend and see that being his key to victory. His power is what plays the main role in most of his match-ups, but in this fight I think his technique is going to be the star of the show. I see him technically outstriking Rothwell on the feet, and it is likely he could stop him, but I think this heavyweight bout hits goes all three rounds more often than not, despite both big men big very heavy hitters and definite knockout artists who possess one-punch knockout power. Whether they are both careful of being knocked out and play it safe, or whether they don’t worry about it and search for the knockout, I see Mitrione getting the better of Rothwell in both instances, and I see the fight going past the 1.5 round mark more often than not, often times all the way to a decision, where almost surely Mitrione would take a unanimous nod. Gabe’s Call: Mitrione by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommended Parlays: Boetsch (-190) and Mitrione (-190) at +132 for 3.05u to win 4.05u and Henderson/Boetsch Over 1.5 rounds (-140) and Rothwell/Mitrione Over 1.5 rounds (+105) at +251 for 2.05u to win 5.15u
