Pair of Two-Way Parlays for UFC Fight Night 72 in Glasgow

Leon EdwardsUFC Fight Night 72 Date: July 18, 2015 Arena: The SSE Hydro City: Glasgow, Scotland, UK The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to make it’s inaugural trip to Scotland this Saturday night (July 18, 2015) with UFC Fight Night 72 in Glasgow. The 12-fight card will be headlined by a middleweight contest between Brazilian veteran Thales Leites and the United Kingdom’s own Michael “The Count” Bisping. Main card action gets underway at 1pm ET on FOX Sports 1, with preliminary action preceding it on the same channel at 11am and a pair of bouts before it on UFC Fight Pass at 10am ET. If interested in wagering on this parlay, or any bouts on this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are a pair of two-way parlays UFC Fight Night 72 in Glasgow: Welterweight bout: Leon Edwards (-260) vs Pawel Pawlak (+220) Gabe’s Thoughts: These 170-pounders were both successful during the UFC’s inaugral trip the Poland, where Edwards knocked out veteran Seth Baczynski in just eight seconds of action, with Pawlak taking a unanimous decision over TUF: Nations vet Sheldon Westcott. Both fighters got their hands raised for the first time inside the Octagon, following a taste of defeat in their promotional debuts. They will now be looking to go 2-0 in this match-up against each other, and I strongly favor Edwards to get his hand raised in this outing. I think he is the superior striking and see him outstriking Pawlak in this contest, where I see the entirety of this bout taking place. I think Edwards wins this and the real question should be whether he gets the finish or takes it home on the cards. I think Edwards should be a -450 favorite in this contest, so I like him at his current price of -260. Gabe’s Call: Edwards by T/KO (strikes, 4:41 round 1) Lightweight bout: Leandro Mafra (+170) vs Stevie Ray (-200) Gabe’s Thoughts: Both fighters will be looking to go 2-0 in the UFC’s 155-pound division and I think Ray is going to be the one who makes that happen in his native Scottland this Saturday night. I think he is the superior mixed martial artist heading into this match-up and is much more dangerous with his hands than his Brazilian counterpart. I see Ray getting the better of Mafra on the feet from the opening bell and eventually finding a T/KO finish. If he fails to secure a finish, I think he will take home a one-sided unanimous decision nod from the judges’ at Octagon-side. At -200, I think there is a world of value in Ray, who I think should be a -1000 favorite heading into this contest. Gabe’s Call: Ray by T/KO (punches, 3:43 round 2) Gabe’s Recommended Parlays: Edwards (-260) and Ray (-200) at +107 for 4.65u to win 5u Edwards/Pawlak Under 2.5 rounds (-105) and Mafra/Ray Under 2.5 rounds (+105) at +300 .5u to win 1.5u
