Live Dogs for UFC Fight Night 71

James_Moontasri_RFAUFC Fight Night 71 Date: July 15, 2015 Arena: Valley View Casino Center City: San Diego, CA UFC Fight Night 71: Mir vs Duffee will be live from San Diego, CA tomorrow night with 12-scheduled bouts. If interested wagering on these plays, or any plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my live dogs for UFC Fight Night 71: Heavyweight bout: Frank Mir (+175) vs Todd Duffee (-190) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think this is going to be a striking battle where Mir outboxes Duffee. If his chin holds up, I see him winning this fight by T/KO or unanimous decision. If it hits the mat, it will be an easier night for him, but I think he’s going to keep this on the feet and make a point with his developing hands. As long as Mir does not get finished early, I think this is his fight to win. He survived three rounds for Overeem, so I think he could survive a round with Duffy, even though I think it will be Duffy finding himself in trouble in the first frame of action. Gabe’s Call: Mir by T/KO (punches, 2:35 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Mir (+175) 4u to win 7u Lightweight bout: James Moontasri (+225) vs Kevin Lee (-245) Gabe’s Thoughts: I see this is a close fight and slightly lean with Lee to pick up the win, due to the fact that he will have an advantage in wrestling headed into this 155-pound contest. I expect this to be a fun fight, one which could be a sleeper come time for awarding the evening’s ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus. Moontasri will have the edge in striking, but the question will remain whether he will be able to keep the fight standing long enough to win at least two out of three rounds, or possibly finish the never-before-finished Kevin Lee. I am a fan of both of these lightweights and am simply making a value play on Moontasri here, as I don’t think he should be a +225 underdog. I think he should be +150, so I have to take him at the current odds. Gabe’s Call: Lee by Split Decision Gabe’s Recommended Play: Moontasri (+225) 1.4u to win 3.15u
