Prop Plays for UFC Fight Night 67 in Brazil

Francimar-BarrosoUFC Fight Night 67 Date: May 30, 2015 Arena: Goiana Arena City: Goiana, Goias, Brazil The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to Brazil tonight (May 30th, 2015) with UFC Fight Night 67: Condit vs Alves. The event will be featuring an entirety of 12 bouts, including a six-fight main card that will be live on FOX Sports 1 at 10pm ET, and a four-fight preliminary card preciding it on the same channel at 8pm ET, with two fights preceding those on UFC Fight Pass at 7pm ET. If interested in wagering on these props, or any other plays for this PPV fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my prop plays for UFC Fight Night 67 in Brazil: Welterweight bout: Carlos Condit (-270) vs Thiago Alves (+248) Alves by Decision (+570) 1u to win 5.7u I think Alves has a wrestling advantage headed into this contest and believe that could be his key to getting his hand raised in his native Brazil this evening. I think things will be competitive on the feet, with Condit likely getting the better of Alves, however I think the takedowns Alves mixes in, and the time he spents in time position on the mat will turn things in his favor, resulting in a main event victory. Featherweight bout: Charles Oliveira (-280) vs Nik Lentz (+255) Lentz by Decision (+335) .45u to win 1.5u This is simply a hedge for my Charles Oliveira and Alex Oliveira parlay, and make it only after the first leg comes through. Light Heavyweight bout: Francimar Barroso (+235) vs Ryan Jimmo (-255) Barroso by Decision (+500) 1u to win 5u Barroso +3.5 (+100) 1u to win 1u I expect this fight to be competitive on the feet, and Barroso has the edge in grappling, so if he finds any success with it, I think this is his fight. I could see him taking Jimmo down and winning rounds just from being in top position on the mat, whether he is very active or not. If Jimmo manages to keep the fight standing, then after three rounds of action, I could really see it going either way. Even Jimmo edges it out, I could see the Brazilian taking the hometown nod in his native Brazil. Featherweight bout: Damon Jackson (+157) vs Rony Jason (-167) Jackson by Decision (+350) 1 to win 3.5u Jackson +3.5 (-140) 1.4 to win 1u In short, I think Jackson wins this fight and think the most likely outcome is via decision on the judges’ scorecards. I think “The Leech” lives up to his nickname, sticks to Jason and grinds him out. Flyweight bout: Jussier Formiga (-130) vs Wilson Reis (+120) Reis by Decision (+190) 1u to win 1.9u To put it simply, I think this is the most likely outcome to this 125-pound contest. I think this fight hits the judges’ scorecards for a decision more often than not, and I lean towards Reis getting his hand raised more often than not. Also, there is more value in Reis by Decision at +190 than there is in Formiga by Decision at +160. For my full write-up on this 125-pound match-up, let me refer you to my fight article for the bout. Welterweight bout: Elizeu Zaleski (+310) vs Nicolas Dalby (-340) Dalby by Submission (+437) .55u to win 2.4u I just think there is value in this line, as I see it as a realistic outcome to this contest, if the fight hits the mat. For my full write-up on this 170-pound scrap, I refer you to my fight article for the contest. Featherweight bout: Lucas Martins (+420) vs Misrad Bektic (-475) Bektic ITD (+143) 1u to win 1.43u Bektic by T/KO (+235) .5u to win 1.17u Bektic by Submission (+513) .4 to win 2.05u Bektic -3.5 (-180) 1.8u to win 1u I believe Bektic is the superior mixed martial artist heading into this contest and see him dominating Martins both on the feet and on the mat. I think there is a good chance he picks up his first stoppage victory inside the Octagon this evening. For my full write-up on this 145-pound affair, please check out my fight article for the bout.
