UFC 186’s Demetrious Johnson: ‘Guys I’ve fought in the past had more tools than Horiguchi’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC 186 flyweight Demetrious Johnson as he prepares for his upcoming main event title defense this Saturday night (April 25, 2015) against Kyoji Horiguchi at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

The near-top pound for pound fighter has faced the absolute best the flyweight division has to offer thus far, and he doesn’t expect to see anything new against his upcoming opponent:

“We’ve been studying [Kyoji Horiguchi’s] fights from when he was in Shooto and even in the UFC. He’s a very dangerous fighter. He likes a lot of space. He likes to hit hard and I’ve dealt with that before with John Dodson and Joseph Benavidez. The guys that I’ve fought in the past had a few more tools, they were able to display more tools than Horiguchi has displayed, but hopefully it’s gonna be a fantastic fight for the fans and the division.”
