Two-Way Parlay for UFC Fight Night 63 in Virginia

UFC on FOX: Mendes v LentzUFC Fight Night 63 Date: April 4, 2015 Arena: Patriot Center City: Fairfax, VA The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA for the third time in promotion history with UFC Fight Night 63, which will be headlined by a five round main event contest between top featherweights Chad “Money” Mendes and Ricardo “The Bully” Lamas. The main card action will kick off with six scheduled bouts at 1pm ET on FOX Sports 1, with a four-fight preliminary card preceding it on the same channel at 11am ET. If interested in making this parlay, or any other wagers for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here is my two-way parlay for UFC Fight Night 63 in Virginia: Featherweight bout: Chad “Money” Mendes (-440) vs Ricardo “The Bully” Lamas (+350) Fight Prediction: I think Mendes gets the better of Lamas both on the feet and on the mat in this contest and ultimately gets his hand raised. I could see him winning a decision, as well as earning a finish, but at the moment I am leaning towards favoring him finish the fight. Lamas has not been finished since a 2010 loss to now-bantamweight Iuri Alcantara, but “Money” is no stranger to putting away fighters who are very tough to finish. The only way I could see Lamas winning this fight is if Mendes shows up sick, similar to his bout against Nik Lentz, where he did not look like his normal self and allowed Lentz to nearly run away with the fight. If avoided that heist, but that was a three round contest, and now he’s in a five round main event, so he needs to show up on top of his game, and I am betting that he will – literally. At his current betting tag of -440, while juicy, I still see enough value in it to include it as part of this two-teamer, as I think he should be a -500 favorite over “The Bully” heading into this main event, which is his first fight since his loss to Jose Aldo in his failed bid for the 145-pound gold. Despite coming out on the losing end of that one, Mendes saw his stock rise and earned this bout with Lamas, who is riding a two-fight winning streak that includes a big (first round submission) win over Dennis Bermudez and a (unanimous decision) victory over Hacran Dias. Lamas snapped Bermudez’s rare and impressive seven-fight winning streak, and in turn I think Mendes is going to snap Lamas’ two-fight streak this Saturday night. Gabe’s Call: Mendes by T/KO (strikes, 3:33 round 1) Middleweight bout: Justin Jones (-130) vs Ron Stallings (+110) Fight Prediction: I believe Jones is the superior mixed martial artist heading into this scrap, and I see tremendous value in him at his current betting price of -130, as I think he should be a -230 favorite heading into the contest. I am not completely counting Stallings out here, as he is talented in his own right. That said, I think it is questionable whether he is UFC-calibre, but as for Jones, there isn’t a doubt about it. I believe Jones has a bright future in the UFC’s 185-pound division, and I think it all starts with a win over Stallings this Saturday night in Virginia. Gabe’s Call: Jones by Technical Submission (guillotine choke, 1:43 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Mendes (-440) parlayed with Jones (-130) at +117 for 3.25u to win 3.8u
