WSOF 20’s Nick Newell: ‘I’m one of the better ground guys at 155’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with World Series of Fighting 20 lightweight Nick Newell as he prepares for his upcoming main card bout tonight (April 10, 2015) against Joe Condon at the Foxwoods Resorts Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut.

Despite coming off the first loss of his professional mixed martial arts career, Newell is still oozing confidence and he has a lot of faith in his ground game against Condon:

“[Joe Condon} seems like more of a jiu-jitsu guy so maybe he thinks I’ll go tot the ground and he can submit me or he’ll take me down and do that. But I think I’m one of the better ground guys at 155. I’m very powerful and I’m a good wrestler. From top position, I’m very lethal. Even from bottom, I’ve won fights off my back. I’m really comfortable everywhere.”
