Fights to Avoid Betting for UFC Fight Night 94

Islam_Makhachev_vsUFC Fight Night 94: Johnson vs Poirier Date: September 17, 2016 Arena: State Farm Arena City: Hidalgo, TX The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will be in Hidalgo, TX for the first time in promotional history with UFC Fight Night 94: Johnson vs Poirier. The 12 fight card is set to kick off at 7pm ET on UFC Fight Pass, and preliminary action will follow at 8pm ET on FOX Sports 1, culminating with a six fight main card ont he same channel. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakers. My Fights to AVOID betting are: Welterweight bout: Kenny Robertson (-110) vs Roan Carneiro (-110) Gabe’s Thoughts: Robertson returns from an extended layoff looking to bounce back into the win column following a controversial split decision loss to Ben Saunders. Carneiro stepped up from welterweight to the middleweight division for a short notice UFC debut against Mark Munoz, and after scoring a first round submission, he stayed in the division and had a solid run until being stopped by first round TKO against Derek Brunson in his most latest Octagon outing, which prompted his move back down to the 170-pound division. I am in full agreement with the current betting odds and think this is a coin-flip contest that could easily go either way. That means I see no betting value on either side for a play in this contest, so I will be avoiding this chess-match at the sportsbook this weekend. Gabe’s Call: Robertson by Split Decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: AVOID Lightweight bout: Chris Wade (+100) vs Islam Makhachev (-120) Gabe’s Thoughts: Wade is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Rustam Khabilov and Makhachev is coming off a first round knockout loss to Adriano Martins. Both 155-pounders are eager to return to the win column and will likely leave it all inside the Octagon in an effort to do so. This is another match-up which I think is very close and agree with the betting odds. Another coin-flip scenario here in which I could easily see the fight going either way, which ultimately means this is a fight that should be avoided at the sportsbooks come Saturday night. Gabe’s Call: Wade by Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: AVOID
