The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas hosts the latest edition of the PBC on Bounce TV this Friday September 16th. The live event sees 11 fights in all, and the card is stacked with talent from Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s “The Money Team” including fighters like J’Leon Love (22-1), Domonique Dolton (17-0-1) and Lannell Bellows (16-1-1). The vacant NABF title at super bantamweight is in play as well with Alexis Santiago (21-3-1) facing Jose Cayetano (19-4) in a 10-round bout. Right now, two of the bouts on the card are appearing with betting lines at the sportsbooks, and the stacked card could see several more matches added. How competitive the lines will be remains to be seen. Below are the two fights currently with lines up…
Super Welterweight, 10 Rounds Frank Galarza +350 Ishe Smith -530 Notes: The main event of the evening sees the return of veteran Ishe Smith (28-8) as he faces Frank Galarza (17-1-2). Both men are in need of a win, as Smith is 38 years old, and a victory would mark the first time he has won two fights in a row since February of 2013. That last win over Cornelius Bundrage scored Smith an IBF world title at super welterweight, but he lost the belt in his next fight against Carlos Molina and then dropped a subsequent WBA world title shot against Erislandy Lara in December of 2014. Galarza is 31 years old and coming off the first loss of his career in his last fight, which was in November of last year. That setback came on Showtime at the hands of undefeated Jarrett Hurd, and Galarza needs to avoid a second loss in a row. A win over Smith would certainly be his biggest win to date.
Super Lightweight, 10 Rounds Luis Eduardo Flores +1350 Sharif Bogere -3250 Notes: The talented Bogere is (28-1) overall and at 27 years old, he is looking to earn a world title shot in the short term. His lone loss came in a world title fight against Richar Abril for the WBA’s belt at lightweight back in March of 2013, with five wins and a No-Contest in six fights since then. He has a 2011 unanimous-decision win over Raymundo Beltran, a solid veteran who has stayed in the title picture for the last few years, so this match against Florez is Bogere getting in some ring time as he awaits bigger fights. Florez (21-4) is from Colombia, and he has logged two fights in the United States in 2016, going 0-2.
