MMA Odds and Ends for Tuesday: Bobby Lashley vs. Josh Appelt set for Bellator 162 co-main event

480 Bobby Lashley vs. Josh Appelt official as co-main event of Bellator 162 Bellator officials announced Monday that heavyweight Bobby Lashley will face Josh Appelt at Bellator 162 in Memphis, Tennessee. Lashley (14-2) heads into this matchup off a seven fight winning streak, including four-straight wins in Bellator. He’s coming off a TKO victory over James Thompson back in November. Appelet (12-5)  has won back-to-back fights and returns to Bellator for the first time since 2013. Bellator 162 takes place at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee. Alexander Shlemenko (53-9, 1NC) vs. Kendall Grove (23-15, 1NC) Bobby Lashley (14-2) vs. Josh Appelt (12-5)   Former UFC lightweight Ramsey Nijem signs with WSOF WSOF announced in a press release Monday that former UFC lightweight Ramsey Nijem has signed with the promotion. Nijem (9-6) hasn’t competed since a controversial split decision loss to Andrew Holbrook at UFC on FOX 16 back in July 2015. The 28-year old has lost back-to-back fights. WSOF released a statement on the signing. “We have been aggressively pursuing some of the best available fight talent on the market and as a phenomenal and established competitor, Ramsey Nijem should make an exciting addition to our stacked, 155-pound division,” said World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo.
