Five Props that Cashed Big at UFC on FOX 21

Paige VanZantFive Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here’s five UFC on FOX 21 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakerss. 1) Maia by Submission(+260) Maia scored a very impressive first round rear naked choke victory over former UFC interim-welterweight champion Carlos Condit and will now wait to face the winner of Tyron Woodley vs Stephen Thompson. The Brazilian continues to impress and undoubtedly deserves a shot at the title after the incredible run he has had at 170-pounds. Congratulations are in order to those who backed him to take this fight by submission. The line for the prop was up to +485 at one point but closed at +260. This was a play I skipped in my props article, but recommended on Twitter prior to the bout. 2) Pettis by Submission (+500) Anthony “Showtime” Pettis picked up his first win at 145-pounds with a third round guillotine choke submission win over Charles “Do Bronx” Oliveira. After three straight losses in the lightweight division, the former UFC lightweight champion made the long-awaited move down to featherweight and picked up the impressive victory. Those who wagered on him to defeat the submission ace via submission cashed out at a very cool +500, so congratulations are in order. 3) VanZant by T/KO (+625) Paige VanZant defeated Bec Rawlings via second round headkick knockout, ultimately scoring the best highlight of her professional mixed martial arts career. It was a beautiful, Pettis-esque kick, similar to the one Yair Rodriguez knocked out Andre Fili with. An impressive victory for VanZant and a picture perfect way for her to return to the win column. Those who backed her to win this fight via T/KO stoppage cashed out at an incredible +626, so congrats. 4) Silva by T/KO (+320) Felipe Silva defeated Shane Champbell via first round knockout in his promotional debut, ultimately remaining undefeated at 8-0. The Brazilian’s UFC debut could not have gone any better, as he was in control of the bout from the opening bell and forced a stoppage at the 1:13 mark of the very first round. In my prediction for the bout, I guessed the stoppage would come at 1:39 of the first round, so I was nearly spot-on with that one. Those who took Silva by T/KO cashed out at a very nice +320, so congrats are in order. I recommended this prop in my props article for the fight, which at the time was +350. 5) Laprise by T/KO (+322) Laprise returned to the win column with a first round knockout of Thibault Gouti, likely sending the Frenchman to the unemployment line. Laprise missed weight by three pounds for the bout but came through with a solid performance, catching Gouti and putting him away with strikes. Those who wagered on the TUF: Nations winner to defeat the Frenchman by T/KO took home a nice +322, so congrats to ya. A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $277,457.
