If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. My Over/Under Totals are: Women’s Strawweight bout: Maryna Moroz (-255) vs Danielle Taylor (+215) Gabe’s Thoughts: Moroz will be welcoming Taylor into her Octagon debut in this match-up, which is a step up in competition for the undefeated promotional newcomer. That said, I think this is a fight she can win, and can’t really fault anybody for taking a stab on her at her current underdog price tag of +215. However, I am personally opting not going to make a move on her and will instead opt to play the Total of Over 2.5 rounds at -120, as I feel this bout hits the judges’ scorecards more often than not, regardless of who gets her hand raised. Gabe’s Call: Moroz by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Over 2.5 rounds (-120) 1.8u to win 1.5u Featherweight bout: Cub Swanson (-400) vs Tatsuya Kawajiri (+325) Gabe’s Thoughts: I believe Kawajiri is a live dog in this match-up at his current underdog price of +325. I do not agree with the current betting odds at all. I will not personally be making a move on him, but I cannot blame anybody who does. Personally, I am going to take the Total of Over 2.5 rounds in this featherweight match-up at -165, as I feel a decision victory for both 145-pounders is the most likely outcome. I think Swanson is going to try to stay on the outside and technically outstrike Kawajiri over the course of three rounds, while Kawajiri is going to try to smother the WEC veteran against the cage and on the mat. Swanson is generally a knockout threat, but he’s suffered broken hands in multiple fights, and knowing that Kawajiri has a very hard head and is incredibly hard to put away, I think his game-plan heading into this bout will be to win on points over the course of three rounds. Gabe’s Call: Swanson by Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Over 2.5 rounds (-165) 4.95u to win 3u
