If interested in wagering on this parlay, or any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines are currently made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here is my parlay: Featherweight bout: Yair Rodriguez (-325) vs Alex Caceres (+265) Gabe’s Thoughts: This is the first five round fight for both fighters, and to put it simply, I think Rodriguez gets the better of Caceres for the first three rounds, and survives the fourth and fifth to pick up a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. Caceres’ cardio advantage in this bout could benefit him in later rounds, if he manages to make it out of the first couple. I could see him scoring a late finish, but I think Rodriguez toughs it out and survives more times than not. I see Rodriguez having more routes to victory in this bout, and while I won’t be at all surprised to see Caceres find a way to come out on top, I think the Mexican is the right side here. I do believe he is the fighter of the two who has the brighter future inside the Octagon, and the more likely one to reach title contention. Gabe’s Call: Rodriguez by Unanimous Decision (48-47, 48-47, 48-47) Featherweight bout: Dennis Bermudez (-240) vs Rony Jason (+200) Gabe’s Thoughts: Bermudez will be at a height and reach disadvantage heading into this contest, but I think he is the superior mixed martial artist of the two. Jason has the superior Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu game, but I think Bermudez could outwrestle him and avoid his submissions. Though, Jason is a legitimate threat on the mat and I would not be remotely surprised to see him catch “The Menace” with something. The fight could be close on the feet, but I give Bermudez the edge there. I see him managing to edge Jason on the feet, while mixing in his wrestling to score takedowns and spend time in top position to win rounds. Jason is coming off an extended layoff following drug suspension, so cage rust could also play a factor for the Brazilian. Gabe’s Call: Bermudez by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Rodriguez (-325) and Bermudez (-240) at -118 for 1.65u to win 1.4u
