MMA Odds and Ends for Wednesday: Joe Rogan stays with the UFC, Saad Awad vs. Derek Anderson set for Bellator 160

500 Joe Rogan re-signs with the UFC  Joe Rogan announced on his podcast “Joe Rogan Experience” that he will be staying on with the UFC for at least another year. Rogan has been with the UFC since 1997, said the decision wasn’t easy. “I was on the fence, man. I just do too much (expletive). I’m too (expletive) busy. … I don’t know if I’m doing myself or all the different things I do a disservice. I was real close (to leaving). It was like, either I’m just gonna completely bail off of this or I’m gonna figure it out.” With this new deal, there won’t be any international travel or working UFC on FOX events on FOX.   Saad Awad vs. Derek Anderson, ‘Baby Slice’ set to compete at Bellator 160 Saad Awad will take on Derek Anderson at Bellator 160. In addition the card will also feature the pro-debuts of Joey Davis (0-0) and ‘Baby Slice’ Kevin Ferguson Jr. (0-0). Awad (19-7) heads into this matchup off a first-round TKO victory over  Evangelista Santos in a welterweight matchup at Bellator 154. Anderson (13-2) is coming off a split-decision victory over Patricky Freire at Bellator 147. Bellator 160 takes place Aug. 26 at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. Here’s an updated look at the card.
