Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here’s five UFC Fight Night 91 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakerss. 1) Tim Boetsch by T/KO (+500) Tim Boetsch defeated Josh Samman via second round TKO after a close first round that Sammen seemed to edge. This was an impressive way for “The Barbarian” to return to the win column following back to back knockout losses to Dan Henderson and Ed Herman. Those who wagered on him to defeat Samman with his fists cashed out at a nice +500, so congrats are due. 2) Daniel Omielanczuk by Decision (+450) Daniel Omielanczuk survived a rough first round to edge the second and third for a majority decision win against Oleksiy Oliynyik. Being the fresher fighter benefited the Pole in the second and third rounds, as he was able to get top position and edge rounds that way. Omielanczuk backers who took him to win this fight on the judges’ scorecards took home a cool cash prize of +450, so congratulations are in order. 3) Louis Smolka by T/KO (+688) Louis Smolka defeated Ben Nguyen via second round TKO to pick up arguably the most impressive victory of his professional mixed martial arts career. Smolka continues to improve from fight to fight and proves to be a contender at 125-pounds. He is certainly one of the most enrtertaining fighters to watch in the division and fight fans are eager to see him return to action inside the Octagon; sooner rather than later. Those of you who backed the Hawaiian to end this fight with strikes cashed out at a big +688, so congrats to ya! 4) Sam Alvey by Submission (+1050) Sam Alvey defeated Eric Spicely via first round guillotine choke submission, earning his first submission victory in the UFC and ultimately returning to the win column following an 0-2 skid. Yet another highlight added to his reel, Alvey hopes to take on Oluwale Bamgbose in his next outing, despite the fact that Bamgbose is coming off a defeat. Alvey is generally known as a knockout artist but he shocked the Sioux Falls crowd with a submission of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Spicely in the opening stanza. Those who gambled on him to do so paid out at a whopping +1050, so big congratulations to you if you were wise enough to take a crack at that. 5) Cortney Casey by T/KO (+975) Cortney Casey defeated Cristina Stanciu via first round TKO to earn her first UFC victory. In what was the best performance of her professional mixed martial arts career, Casey certainly made a statement with her performance and delivered a message to the rest of the women’s 115-pound division. Anybody who took a shot on her to finish this fight via T/KO cashed out at a beautiful +975, so congrats if ya did! A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $3,214,644.
