Live Dogs for UFC Fight Night 91

keita-nakamuraUFC Fight Night 91: McDonald vs Lineker Date: July 13, 2016 Arena: Denny Sanford Premier Center City: Sioux Falls, SD The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to make it’s inaugral trip to Sioux Falls, SD for UFC Fight Night 91: McDonald vs Lineker. This will be first official fight card under the new UFC regime. The 12-fight card is set to get going with preliminary action on UFC Fight Pass at 5:30pm ET and continuing on FOX Sports 1 at 7pm ET. Main card action will be underway at 9pm ET, also on FOX Sports 1. If interested in wagering on these plays, or any plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my live dogs: Welterweight bout: Keita Nakamura (+150) vs Kyle Noke (-160) Gabe’s Thoughts: Noke is coming off a controversial split decision loss to promotional newcomer Alex Morono seven months ago and will be looking to get back into the win column by taking out Japanese veteran Nakamura, who himself aims to get back on track following a unanimous decision loss against then-undefeated Tom Breese. Nakamura may be a bit undersized here but I think he is the more powerful fighter of the two and believe he has the superior grappling. I think he will find success with his takedowns and top position en route to a decision victory on the judges’ scorecards, possibly finding a submission finish along the way. Noke is tough to put away but I think there’s a decent chance Nakamura gets it done. Gabe’s Call: Nakamura by Submission (rear naked choke, 3:23 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Nakamura (+150) 2u to win 3u Light Heavyweight bout: Katlyn “Blonde Fighter” Chookagian (+170) vs Lauren Murphy (-185) Gabe’s Thoughts: I was conflicted on this match-up but after seeing the weigh-ins, I do favor Chookagian for a play. I saw this as a “dog or pass” situation and was leaning towards passing, but the weigh-ins have sold me on taking a shot on the promotional newcomer at +170. I think this is a coin-flip fight, so I am siding with the +170 underdog and I’ll also pick her to win the fight outright. Gabe’s Call: Chookagian by T/KO (strikes, 1:01 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Chookagian (+170) 2u to win 3.4u
