This will be first official fight card under the new UFC regime. The 12-fight card is set to get going with preliminary action on UFC Fight Pass at 5:30pm ET and continuing on FOX Sports 1 at 7pm ET. Main card action will be underway at 9pm ET, also on FOX Sports 1.If interested in wagering on this parlay, or any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines are currently made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here is my parlay: Middleweight bout: Sam Alvey (-265) vs Eric Spicely (+225) Gabe’s Thoughts: Simply put, I expect Alvey to keep this fight on the feet and outstrike the promotional newcomer Spicely, likely seuring a T/KO finish. Spicely lost to eventual TUF 23 winner Andrew Sanchez on the reality series in the semi-finals and gets to make his UFC debut against Alvey, who is making an immediate return to action following a unanimous decision loss to Elias Theodorou just a couple of weeks ago. I don’t see Spicely taking Alvey down and using his jiu-jitsu, nor do I see him getting the better of him on the feet. I believe this is Alvey’s fight to lose and I see him returning to the win column in higlight reel fashion. I think he should be a -450 betting favorite heading into this 185-pound contest, so I like him at his current offering price of -265. Gabe’s Call: Alvey by T/KO (punches, 1:21 round 1) Lightweight bout: Scott Holtzman (-325) vs Cody Pfister (+265) Gabe’s Thoughts: If Pfister wants to win this fight, he basically needs to be able to outwrestle Holtzman for two out of three rounds, and while Holtzman’s previous opponent Drew Dober was able to do that, I think it will be a very tall task for Pfister. Dober is bigger and more powerful than Pfister, so I don’t see Pfister finding the same success as Dober did. Despite being at a one inch height and three inch reach disadvantage, I believe Holtzman will be the bigger and stronger fighter heading into this 155-pound contest and I see him finding success in keeping the fight standing and soundly outstriking Pfister. I’m not confident he will find a finish, but I think he may pick up a 10-8 round or two along the way. On the feet, I expect this fight to be very one-sided, similar to Holtzman’s UFC debut against Anthony Christodolou. Gabe’s Call: Holtzman by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Alvey (-265) and Holtzman (-325) at -125 for 2.5u to win 4u
