MMA Odds and Ends for Friday: Tim Means vs Sean Strickland announced for UFC 202

021915-UFC-Fight-Night-Sean-Strickland-PI-CH.vadapt.955.high.0Tim Means (25-7-1) vs. Sean Strickland (18-1-0): UFC 202, August 20, 2016 Fresh off a brief suspension due to what was ruled a tainted supplement, UFC welterweight Tim Means is back in the saddle as he faces red hot Sean Strickland. Means was supposed to fight Donald Cerrone in the main event of a fight card earlier this year before a drug test was flagged. Strickland most recently ended Tom Breese’s winning streak at UFC 199 and this is a killer match-up. Means has nasty fight-ending power while Strickland is a bit more well-rounded. Strickland also had an incredibly durable chin so I expect this bout to get very interesting if Means discovers he can’t put the iron-jawed Strickland away on the feet. Look for the opening odds on this bout to be very close, with perhaps a slight lean towards Strickland due to his excellent recent performances. UFC 200 Media Conference Call The promotion for next week’s UFC 200 event continued with the media conference call for UFC 200, which was attended by Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier, Brock Lesnar and Mark Hunt. See what everyone had to say, especially the returning Lesnar, who was asked some difficult questions:
