Henry Cejudo’s coach Thom Ortiz: ‘We’re gonna come back and make a story out of it’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Thom Ortiz, who was the Arizona State head wrestling coach and is now one of the coaches for recent UFC flyweight title challenger Henry Cejudo as well as a pro/am fight promoter.

The experienced coach provided some unique insight into the training camp before the Johnson fight, including a back injury which nearly forced him out of the title bout, and he still feels Cejudo has what it takes to be champ someday:

“The bottom line is, we’re gonna come back. We’re gonna come back and make a story out of it. I told Henry, ‘Your speed, your strength, you have all the capabilities and qualities to beat Johnson.’ He has the stuff that you’re not able to teach. He’s fast, he’s strong, has powerful legs and how do we get him back to where he needs to be to implement that? We’ve got our work cut out for us.”
