Legacy FC 56 Betting Odds

Tonight on AXS TV, Legacy FC bantamweight champion Manny Vazquez is set to make the first defense of the title he captured back in February. Vazquez stopped the previously undefeated Ricardo Ramos with a rear-naked choke in under two minutes to win the vacant belt at Legacy 51. His opponent, Steven Peterson will be making his 10th Legacy appearance, having won his last four bouts for the Texas-based promotion (and five overall) to earn the title shot. Speaking recently with MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg, Vazquez discussed his fight with Peterson, and the prospects of getting a call from the UFC:

Trigg also spoke with Peterson, who knows exactly what the champion Vazquez will be looking to do, and spoke about his approach to this title opportunity:

MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas opened the betting odds for the Legacy FC 56 headliner today at Several Bookmakers. Check it out: ——————– MAIN CARD (AXS TV, 10pm ET) Manny Vazquez -175 Steven Peterson +135 ——————– Brad’s Analysis: While Peterson seems prepared for what Vazquez will offer once the bell rings, I’m not sure that he’s going to be able to stop it. The only other really solid wrestler Peterson has faced was UFC veteran Matt Hobar, and he struggled to stay upright in that bout. Hobar is a bigger wrestler than Vazquez, but not as quick, and doesn’t have the same sort of submission skills. I expect Peterson to try to make Vazquez uncomfortable early in this one, but while that could generate openings for him to land strikes, it could also present takedown opportunities for the champion, and I think Vazquez takes advantage.
