Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC 232 bets that cashed big based on the closing odds from across various sportsbooks.
1) Montel Jackson by Submission (+1100)
The fight card’s opening fight saw the biggest prop cash of the night as Montel Jackson earned his first career submission as he forced Brian Kelleher to tap in the opening round.
2) Amanda Nunes by Knockout (+600)
In what will be remembered as one of the all-time great knockouts, Amanda Nunes crushed Cris Cyborg in the opening round of their featherweight title fight. Nunes hurt Cyborg and after a series of punches sent her face first into the canvas for a crushing knockout and a +600 payout for Nunes knockout backers.
3) Nathaniel Wood by Submission (+577)
Nathaniel Wood looked every bit of a solid prospect as he had no problem with Andre Ewell eventually submitting him in the third round for a +577 submission prop winner.
4) Alex Volkanovski by Knockout (+500)
In the fight of the night, Alex Volkanovski was dropped by Chad Mendes, but recovered well and later knocked out Mendes later in the second round. Volkanovski by knockout paid out +500 and gave the talented Australian the biggest win of his career.
5) Megan Anderson by Knockout (+479)
Knockout backers had some unforeseen luck as a Megan Anderson kick caused an ugly cut outside of Cat Zingano’s eye which made it difficult to see and forced the referee to stop the fight. A +479 winner for those brave enough to bet Anderson by knockout.
A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $1,975,494.
