MMA Odds and Ends for Wednesday: Douglas Lima replaces Josh Koscheck against Paul Daley at Bellator 158

Douglas Lima replaces Josh Koscheck against Paul Daley at Bellator 158  Once again, Josh Koscheck’s Bellator debut has been delayed again due to an injury. Stepping in is former welterweight champion Douglas Lima, who now faces Paul Daley at Bellator 158. MMAJunkie reported the news on Tuesday. Lima (26-6) is coming off a unanimous-decision loss to Andrey Koreshkov last year, which snapped his five-fight win streak. Daley (38-13-2) heads into this matchup off a knockout victory over Andy Uhrich, which pushed his winning streak to five straight. “Bellator 158: London” takes place July 16 at The O2 in London.   Four-month notice USADA drug testing requirement waived for Brock Lesnar at UFC 200 Upon Brock Lesnar’s return to the octagon at UFC 200, the former UFC heavyweight champion was exempt from the four-month notice drug testing policy implemented by USADA according to MMAJunkie.  The UFC gave a statement to Yahoo! Sports, to explain Lesnar’s unique circumstance.  “Given Lesnar last competed in UFC on December 30, 2011, long before the UFC Anti-Doping Policy went into effect, for purposes of the Anti-Doping Policy, he is being treated similarly to a new athlete coming into the organization,” the UFC’s statement to Yahoo! reads. “While conversations with the heavyweight have been ongoing for some time, Lesnar required permission from WWE to compete in UFC 200 and only agreed to terms and signed a bout agreement last Friday. He was therefore unable to officially start the Anti-Doping Policy process any earlier. UFC, however, did notify Lesnar in the early stages of discussions that if he were to sign with the UFC, he would be subject to all of the anti-doping rules. Lesnar and his management have now been formally educated by USADA on the policy, procedures and expectations.”   Nordine Taleb injured, Alan Jouban seeks new opponent for UFC Fight Night 90 UFC officials annouced Tuesday that welterweight Nordine Taleb (12-3) has had to bow out of his UFC Fight Night 90 bout due to injury.
