Here are my main card plays: Flyweight title bout: Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson (-400) vs Henry Cejudo (+355) Gabe’s Thoughts: I see so many people counting Cejudo out of this fight. I’m not one of them. I personally think he has a legitimate chance at pulling off an upset, largely because he presents a big question mark. I don’t think Johnson has faced anybody who possesses the combination of Olympic gold level wrestling, boxing and power that Cejudo brings to the table. I also think Cejudo is the type of fighter who excels against greater competition. I think we will see the best Henry Cejudo we’ve seen, however I don’t know if it will be enough to dethrone Johnson. Regardless of who get his hand raised, I think this fight hits the judges’ scorecards for a decision more often than not, and at -187, I like the Total of Over 4.5 rounds for a play. Gabe’s Call: “Mighty Mouse” by Split Decision (49-46, 47-48, 49-46)) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Over 4.5 rounds (-187) 1.87u to win 1u Featherweight bout: Andre Fili (+120) vs Yair Rodriguez (-130) Gabe’s Thoughts: In short, I believe Rodriguez is the superior mixed martial artist of the two and as long as he avoids getting caught, I think he will get the better of Fili in this contest. Gabe’s Call: Rodriguez by Submission (rear naked choke, 2:!3 round 2) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Rodriguez (-130) 5.2u to win 4u
