GLORY 29 Opening Betting Odds

Glory_29_posterKickboxing promotion GLORY returns this Saturday (April 16) for what has now become a monthly event. The show will air from Copenhagen, Denmark. Glory 29 features a welterweight title bout, as well as a four-man tournament to determine the number one contender in the heavyweight division, where the winner will eventually face champion Rico Verhoeven, who has held the crown for nearly two years. The welterweight title bout features champion Nieky Holzken against challenger Yoann Kongolo. Kongolo (61-6) earned his shot at the gold by defeating Karapet Karapetyan this past December, earning a unanimous decision. Holzken is the deserved heavy favorite, having defeated the previous champ Murthel Groenhart via split decision at the same Glory 26 event where Kongolo earned his title shot. The welterweight title bout features champion Nieky Holzken against challenger Murthel Groenhart. Holzken captured the vacant title this past August while Groenhart won a one-night tournament last month to earn his title shot. The heavyweight tournament will feature Anderson Silva (not that one), Suriname Ismael Londt, Jahfarr Wilnis and Kirill Kornilov in a number one contender semifinal. Oddsmaker Nick Kalikas opened the betting lines for GLORY 29 today at Several Bookmakers. The main card will air on ESPN 3 at 4:00 pm ET with the superfight series preceding it on UFC Fight Pass at 1:30 pm ET. ——————– KICKBOXING GLORY 29: Copenhagen Copenhagen, Denmark Yoann Kongolo +285 Nieky Holzken -405 Heavyweight Tournament Semi-Finals Anderson Silva +160 Ismael Londt -210 Kirill Kornilov +265 Jahfarr Wilnis -385 SuperFight Series – UFC Fight Pass – 1:30pm ET / 10:30am PT Zinedine Hameur-Lain +265 Zack Mwekassa -385 Cihad Kepenek +175 Tomas Mozny -245 Meran Zangana +145 Jonatan Oliveira -185 ——————– Click below to bet the fights now!
