Lyoto Machida admits use of banned substance, UFC on FOX 19 rematch with Dan Henderson scrapped The rematch between Lyoto Machida and Dan Henderson has been pulled from UFC on FOX 19 this Saturday due to the Brazillian admitting to taking a banned substance. The UFC released an official statement. “The UFC organization was made aware today by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, that Lyoto Machida declared the usage of a banned substance during an out-of-competition sample collection last week,” the statement read. “Machida stated that he was unaware that the substance was prohibited both in and out of competition and, in accordance with the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, his disclosure of usage will be taken into consideration by USADA during any potential results management and adjudication process.” Also according to UFC officials, Henderson will be re-scheduled for another event later in the year. The featherweight matchup between Hacran Dias (23-3-1) and Cub Swanson (21-7) has been elevated to the main card due to the change Clay Guida vs. Brian Ortega scheduled for UFC 199 in California UFC officials confirmed Wednesday that fan favorite Clay Guida and Brian Ortega will clash at UFC 199 Guida (32-16) heads into this matchup off a 39-second defeat to Thiago Tavares back in November. Ortega (10-0) is coming off back-to-back wins over Diego Brandao and Tavares. His UFC debut victory over Mike de la Torre was overturned when he tested positive for drostanolone.
