Five Crazy Props that Cashed Big for UFC Fight Night 86

Timothy-JohnsonFive Crazy Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here’s five crazy UFC Fight Night 86 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakerss. 1) Junior Dos Santos by Decision (+570) Junior Dos Santos went the distance with Ben Rothwell, defeating him via unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards and returning to the win column following last December’s T/KO loss to Alistair Overeem. The Brazilian looked very good in this contest, managing to get the better of Rothwell in each stanza and proving that he is still a contender in the UFC’s heavyweight division. Congrats to those who wagered on JDS to take home the nod, as they saw their tickets cash at a cool +570. I recommended the prop in my props article at +600. 2) Tim Johnson by Decision (+410) Tim Johnson got the better of Polish promotional newcomer Marcin Tybura over the course of three rounds of action to pick up the unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. It was a solid victory for the American, who returned to the win column after coming up short on the judges’ scorecards against Jared Rosholt. Congratulations are in order to those who wagered on Johnson to take home the decision, as they saw their tickets cash at a nice +410 price. 3) Alejandro Perez by T/KO (+325) Alejandro Perez dismantled Ian Entwistle and made it two in a row for himself inside the Octagon with a pair of TKO finishes and will be looking for a step up in competition his next time out. The Mexican continues to impress as he was able to repeatedly slip out of Entwistle’s vaunted leg lock attacks while hammering away with strikes. The prop on Perez to defeat Entwistle via T/KO cashed at a good +325, so congrats to those who ran with that one. 4) Damian Stasiak by Submission (+575) Damian Stasiak picked up his first win inside the Octagon with a first round rear naked choke submission of promotional newcomer Filip Pejic. He took Pejic down immediately, where he dominated until quickly securing the choke to earn the tap. The Polish fighter made quick work of the Croatian and will be aiming to make it two in a row for himself inside the Octagon his next time out. The prop on Stasiak taking this one by submission cashed at a nice +575, so congratulations to those who hit it. 5) Lucas Martins by Decision (+410) Lucas Martins took the fight to Scottland’s Robert Whiteford and got the better of him over three rounds of action, edging him out on the judges’ scorecards for a split decision victory. The Brazilian snapped a two-fight losing skid that included losses to Darren Elkins and Mirsad Bektic, respectively. Martins kept the fight on the feet, where he outstruck Roberts over the course of 15 minutes to pick up the closely-contested split decision win. Those who wagered on the Brazilian to take this one on the judges’ scorecards saw their tickets cash at a solid +410, so congrats are in order there A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $499,828.
