MMA Odds and Ends for Thursday: Silva vs. Hall set for UFC 198, Browne vs. Velasquez scheduled for UFC 200

Anderson Silva vs. Uriah Hall scheduled for UFC 198 Per MMA Fighting, Anderson Silva vs. Uriah Hall middleweight bout is being targeted for UFC 198 in Brazil. Silva (33-7, 1 NC) is coming off somewhat of a controversial unanimous decision loss to Michael Bisping at UFC Fight Night 84 last month. Prior to that Silva had beaten Nick Diaz at UFC 183 however the fight was ruled a no contest due to the failed drug test. Hall (12-6) is coming off a decision loss to Robert Whittaker in November. UFC 198 will take place inside a soccer stadium in Curitiba and is headlined by champion Fabricio Werdum taking on Stipe Miocic.   Cain Velasquez vs. Travis Browne set for UFC 200 According to a report on FS 1’s “UFC Tonight.”, UFC 200 may have his first matchup and it pits heavyweights Cain Velasquez vs. Travis Browne. Velasquez (13-2) hasn’t fought since a June 2015 loss to Fabricio Werdum at UFC 188 which snapped his four-fight win streak. Browne (18-3-1) has alternated between wins and losses in his last few matchups. He’s coming off a controversial third-round TKO victory over Matt Mitrione at UFC Fight Night 81 in January. It should be noted this matchup has yet to be confirmed by the UFC.   Former UFC fighter Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller arrested and held on $1,000,000 bail  TMZ reported Wednesday that former UFC fighter Jason Miller was arrested Tuesday for allegedly vandalized a tattoo parlour with graffiti back in January. The TUF 14 coach is currently in custody on $1,000,000 bail at the Orange County Men’s Central Jail in Santa Ana. Miller (24-9) is scheduled to take on Luke Barnatt at Venator FC 3 in Italy on May 21st. The Strikeforce veteran last competed in 2012, losing to C.B. Dollaway via unanimous decision at UFC 146.
