MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 151 bantamweight Joe Warren as he prepares for his upcoming main event this Friday night (March 4, 2016) against Darion Caldwell at the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
The former Bellator featherweight and bantamweight champion understands he’s facing a top prospect, but his confidence has never wavered:
“If Darrion Caldwell wants to dive at my legs like an ankle biter in college, I’ll be happy to choke his ass out. If he wants to wrestle me, I’m the first person with open arms to say, ‘Come on big guy. I’ve wrestled with the best and beat the best. You’re just some chump coming up from North Carolina thinking you can step into the cage with the Baddest Man.’ I’m happy his confidence is up, but he’s six feet tall. You know how hard it is to wrestle a guy with that kind of size. It’d be a different match if we’re wrestling, but we’re fighting. In the cage, we’ll see what technique works… He throws a lot of weird things out there. I’m pushing for the finish. I think conditioning will be a factor and the pressure I put on a person. You can watch all the tape you want on me, but until you feel the pressure I put onto you, sometimes that’ll break a man.”
