Three-Way Parlay for WSOF 28

Marlon Moraes 2WSOF 28 Date: February 20, 2016 Arena: Next Level Sports Complex City: Garden Grove, CA The World Series of Fighting returns to California with WSOF 28: Moraes vs Barajas. Main card action will get going on NBCSN at 9pm ET. If interested in wagering on this parlay, or any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines are currently made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here is my parlay: Bantamweight title bout: Joseph Barajas (+700) vs Marlon Moraes (-1100) Gabe’s Thoughts: Barajas is a decent prospect but I think this is a mismatch. I see this fight as a huge step up in competition for Barajas and I don’t can’t see him getting his hand raised. I think the question to ask is if he can go all five rounds or not. I’m guessing no, but I would not be surprised if he does. I think Moraes picks up a T/KO stoppage here, but if Barajas survives, then I think he will take a unanimous 50-45 nod on the judges’ scorecards. Gabe’s Call: Moraes by T/KO (strikes, 3:13 round 3) Bantamweight bout: Timur Valiev (-435) vs Chris Gutierrez ( Gabe’s Thoughts: Gutierrez is another decent prospect for the World Series of Fighting at 135-pounds, but much like with Barajas in the evening’s main event, I think he is outmatched here against Valiev. I believe Valiev is the all around superior mixed martial artist and see him dominating this bout from start to finish, likely picking up a unanimous 30-27 victory on the judges’ scorecards and cementing himself as the next challenger for Moraes and his bantamweight gold. I favor a win on the judges’ scorecards, but a finish here would not surprise me at all. Gabe’s Call: Valiev by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Welterweight bout: Jamie Yager (-1050) vs Tom Gloudeman (+600) Gabe’s Thoughts: Regardless of who gets his hand raised in this match-up, I expect a finish in under 1.5 rounds more often than not. Yager should be able to make quick work of Gloudeman, but if he fails to score a finish in the first, I see Gloudeman putting him away at the start of the second, or possibly even in the end of the first. This is Yager’s fight to lose and I expect him to win handily in the very first round. Gloudeman is the perfect opponent for him to step into the cage against following an extended injury layoff. Gabe’s Call: Yager by T/KO (strikes, 0:37 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Moraes (-1100), Valiev (-435) and Yager/Gloudeman Under 1.5 rounds (-185) at +102 for 2.2u to win 2.25u
