Anthony Pettis vs. Edson Barboza scheduled for UFC 197 The UFC announced Wednesday that a lightweight matchup pitting former champion Anthony Pettis and Edson Barboza has been added to UFC 197. Pettis (18-4) is coming off back to back losses for the first time in his career, losing the UFC 155-pound title to Rafael dos Anjos and suffering a defeat to Eddie Alvarez in his last fight. Barboza (16-4) is coming off a second round submission loss to Tony Ferguson at the TUF 22 Finale. He’s now 1-2 in his last three bouts. UFC 197 takes place April 23 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Also added on the card is Anthony Smith, who serves as a late replacement for Trevor Smith against Leonardo Augusto Leleco.
