Fights to Avoid Betting for Bellator 149

Melvin GuillardBellator 149 Date: February 19, 2016 Arena: Toyota Center City: Houston, TX Bellator returns this Friday (February 19, 2016) with Bellator 149: Shamrock vs Gracie III. The 14-fight card kicks off on Bellator.com at 7pm ET with nine bouts, followed by a five fight main card on Spike TV at 9pm ET. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. My Fights to AVOID betting are: Heavyweight bout: Dhafir Harris (+325) vs Kimbo Slice (-420) Gabe’s Thoughts: Simply put, I expect these two to clash from the opening bell, where one man will go down, and more often than not, I believe it will be Harris. I think Kimbo will make quick work of him, but I don’t see value in him at hi current offering price of -420 so I have to avoid it at the sportsbook this weekend. Gabe’s Call: Slice by T/KO (punches, 0:23 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: AVOID Featherweight bout: Daniel Pineda (+130) vs Emmanuel Sanchez (-150) Gabe’s Thoughts: I am in complete agreement with the current betting odds for this 145-pound scrap, so I see no value for a wager on either end. I think Sanchez is the superior mixed martial artist of the two here and has the better cardio. Over three rounds of action, I favor him to get his hand raised here more often than not, but as far as a wager is concerned, I won’t be able to pull the trigger on it at the current betting odds. I think this is a fight that is best left avoided at the sportsbook this Friday night. Gabe’s Call: Sanchez by Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: AVOID Lightweight bout: Derek Campos (+230) vs Melvin Guillard (-270) Gabe’s Thoughts: I see this is a “dog or pass” situation in which I am going to ultimately opt to pass a play on the underdog. I favor Guillard to get his hand raised, but I don’t agree with his current offering price of -270. I think this fight is closer than those betting lines suggest and do think Campos holds slight value at +230, however I can’t get myself to pull the trigger on it. This Friday night, this will be another fight I avoid at the sportsbook. Gabe’s Call: Guillard by T/KO (strikes, 1:34 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: AVOID
