Quinton “Rampage” Jackson returns to Bellator following settlement agreement Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has come to a settlement agreement with Bellator MMA and will be returning to the organization. Bellator revealed the news in a press release on Tuesday “Following an amicable agreement to settle the litigation between the two parties, the always entertaining and exciting Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson is returning to Bellator,” the statement said. “Bellator MMA is thrilled to have ‘Rampage,’ one of the most recognizable fighters in the history of the sport, joining a very competitive light heavyweight division featuring champion Liam McGeary, Phil Davis, King Mo, Tito Ortiz, Emanuel Newton, Linton Vassell among others.” Jackson (36-11) is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Fabio Maldonado at UFC 186 last April in Montreal. Rampage left Bellator in late 2014 citing a breach of contract with the promotion. No return date or opponent was announced for the former UFC light heavyweight champion.   Augusto Mendes in for John Lineker vs. Cody Garbrandt at Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 83 Per a report from Globo, Augusto Mendes will replace John Lineker against Cody Garbrandt at UFC Fight Night 83 on Sunday. Mendes (5-0) was slated to make his UFC debut against Charles Rosa at UFC Fight Night 81 in Boston, however he ended up suffering an injury and was replaced by Kyle Bochniak. The 32-year old has won all five of his victories by stoppage. Garbrandt (7-0) is coming off a unanimous decision over Enrique Briones at UFC 189. Here’s an updated look at UFC Fight Night 83. Vick (8-0) is coming off an impressive first round submission victory over Jake Matthews at UFC Fight Night 65 in Australlia. Franca (13-3) heads into this matchup off a submission victory over Fernando Bruno at UFC 190. The Brazillian has won 12 of his 13 fights by stoppage. UFC 197 takes place April 23 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
