If interested in wagering on these plays, or any plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my live dogs: Welterweight bout: Johny Hendricks (-210) vs Stephen Thompson (+175) Gabe’s Thoughts: I have been having trouble getting a good feel on this fight. Initially, I felt somewhat confident that Hendricks would be able to outwrestle “Wonderboy” for to win a decision, but that was when it was a three round fight. As a five rounder, am I not nearly as confident. If Hendricks fades in this fight, I think Thompson will be able to finish him late. If Hendricks does not fade, I think there is a decent chance that Thompson can find success in keeping the fight standing and outpointing Hendricks en route to the scorecards, if not finding a finish along the way. As a five round fight, I think this 170-pound scrap is fairly close, so at his current underdog tag of +175, I think Thompson is worth a stab. Gabe’s Call: “Wonderboy” by T/KO (strikes, 3:44 round 4) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Thompson (+175) 1u to win 1.75u Light Heavyweight bout: Alex Nicholson (+700) vs Misha Cirkunov (-1100) Gabe’s Thoughts: To put it simply, I agree with Cirkunov being a massive favorite heading into this contest, however I don’t quite agree with his current offering price of -1100. I think he should be a 4-to-1 favorite here, so I see value in Nicholson at his current underdog tag of +700. I’m gonna take a little stab on him to win, even though I don’t think he has advantages anywhere in this fight. Cirkunov is a solid prospect and a work in progress, but he has holes in his game. I don’t think Nicholson is the one to expose them, but I would not be surprised to see him get lucky. At +700, tiny stab, please. Gabe’s Call: Cirkunov by T/KO (punches, 3:52 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Nicholson (+700) .25u to win 1.75u
