Plays for UFC Fight Night 82’s FOX Sports 1 Prelims

Damian GrabowskiUFC Fight Night 82 Date: February 6, 2016 Arena: MGM Grand Garden Arena City: Las Vegas, NV The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back in Las Vegas for UFC Fight Night 82: Hendricks vs Thompson with 12-scheduled bouts. Main card action will get underway at 10pm ET on FOX Sports 1, with preliminary action preceding it on the same channel at 8pm ET and a pair of bouts on Fight Pass prior to that at 7pm ET. If interested in wagering on these plays, or any plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my plays: Heavyweight bout: Damian Grabowski (-145) vs Derrick Lewis (+125) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think the Polish promotional newcomer is the superior mixed martial artist heading into this heavyweight fight and I see him getting the better of Lewis both on the feet and on the mat in this contest; likely for 15-minutes of action en route to a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. Lewis has the advantage in pure power and could end this fight with one punch, especially if he finds himself in top position on the mat, which I believe is his best chance of winning this fight. I think the Pole avoids the finish in this contest and either pulls off a win on the cards or finds a finish of his own along the way. I could easily see him finishing Lewish by T/KO or submission, but I think a decision win here is just slightly more likely, which is rare to say about a heavyweight contest. Gabe’s Call: Grabowski by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommended Plays: Grabowski (-145) 4.35u to win 3u and Over 1.5 rounds (+110) 2u to win 2.2u Featherweight bout: Diego Rivas (+265) vs Noad Lahat (-325) Gabe’s Thoughts: To put it simply, I think Lahat has a big grappling advantage heading into this 145-pound contest and see him successfully employing it to win at least two out of three rounds for a unanimous decision win on the judges’ scorecards. making it three in a row for himself inside the Octagon. Gabe’s Call: Lahat by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Over 2.5 rounds (-110) 2.2 to win 2u
