Pair of Main Card Parlays for UFC Fight Night 82

Joseph BenavidezUFC Fight Night 82 Date: February 6, 2016 Arena: MGM Grand Garden Arena City: Las Vegas, NV The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back in Las Vegas for UFC Fight Night 82: Hendricks vs Thompson with 12-scheduled bouts. Main card action will get underway at 10pm ET on FOX Sports 1, with preliminary action preceding it on the same channel at 8pm ET and a pair of bouts on Fight Pass prior to that at 7pm ET. If interested in wagering on this parlay, or any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines are currently made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my parlays: Light Heavyweight bout: Ovince St Preux (-410) vs Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante (+335) Gabe’s Thoughts: I believe Feijao is on a decline, while OSP is constantly improving from fight to fight. In this 205-pound contest, we have a prospect on his way up in St Preux taking a veteran on his way out in Cavalcante. I think OSP puts his hands of Cavalcante early in this fight and gets him out of there quick. Unless Feijao catches OSP early with a lucky punch, I don’t see him winning this fight, and I have a really hard time picturing him pulling that off, too. I expect St Preux to hurt Cavalcante on the feet and on the mat in this match-up, should things go to the canvas. I think OSP should be a -800 betting favorite heading into this match-up, so I really like him for a leg in this two-way parlay at his current offering price of -410. Gabe’s Call: OSP by Submission (punches, 1:53 round 1) Flyweight bout: Joseph Benavidez (-430) vs Zach “Fun Size” Makovsky (+345) Gabe’s Thoughts: “Fun Size” is a talented and solid 125-pounder but I believe he is outmatched and outgunned against Benavidez. I think the grappling here will be a wash and feel Benavidez’s advantage on the feet will be the difference. I expect “Joe B” to outstrike Makovsky for the majority of three rounds of action in this contest en route to a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. This is a match-up that does not make much sense and I believe was only made just because both guys need fights and the division is razor-thin. I’m a fan of Makovsky’s, but I think this is Benavidez’s fight to lose and I expect him to get his hand raised. Gabe’s Call: Benavidez by Unanimous Decision (30-28, 30-27, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Parlays: 1) OSP (-410) and Benavidez (-430) at -188 for 4.8u to win 2.55u and 2) OSP/Cavalcante Under 1.5 rounds (-150) and Benavidez/Makovsky Over 2.5 rounds (-260) at +130 for 1.65u to win 2.15u
