MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 148 welterweight Paul Bradley as he prepares for his main card rematch this Friday night (January 29, 2016) against Chris Honeycutt at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.
The UFC and Bellator veteran feels the tides were starting to turn in his first fight against Honeycutt before the unfortunate clash of heads led to the bout being ruled a no contest, but he thinks he has the right gameplan in place now to defeat the talented prospect:
“I had the takedown. I had the better strikes. I was landing. I was backing [Chris Honeycutt] up. That’s what it takes against him. You just gotta take the center. I know that now. He’s a bully and if you just come back at him, he don’t like it and I think that showed. He started getting desperate diving for takedowns in the second, I was stopping them and it’s an unfortunate thing. He got a little bit underneath me, I believe I was getting ready to throw a right hand, he stepped under and ‘Boom,’ there goes my head.”
