MMA Odds and Ends for Thursday: McGregor steals the show at the UFC 197 Press Conference

UFC 197 Kickoff Press Conference Replay  Wednesday UFC President Dana White, lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, featherweight champion Conor McGregor, women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm and bantweight title challenger Miesha Tate all attended a UFC 197 presser at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. As expected, outspoken featherweight champion Conor McGregor stole the show making his usual jokes at verbal attacks at the UFC lightweight champion. Watch the video replay below   Diego Sanchez vs. Jim Miller lightweight bout added to UFC 197 Looks like Diego Sanchez’s stint at featherweight was short lived Sanchez (25-8-1) makes the move back up to lightweight following his unanimous decision loss to Ricardo Lamas at UFC Fight Night 78. The 34-year old is currently 3-4 in his last seven bouts, with all three of those victories being controversial decision wins. Miller (25-6-0 – 1 NC) has also endured a rough stretch in his career, having gone 1-3 in his last four bouts including a submission loss to Michael Chiesa at UFC Fight Night 80 in his last fight. UFC 197 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on March 5th. Here’s an updated look at the card.
