From the ashes of Pride, Rizin FF makes its debut tomorrow (Tuesday, December 29, 2015) with an intriguing fight card which features a super fight and the first round of the World Heavyweight Grand Prix. The promotion will hold its second event just two days later on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) where the Heavyweight Grand Prix semifinals will be held plus the main event which features the return of legendary heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko, who retired three and a half years ago. The superfight features ONE Championship lightweight titleholder Shinya Aoki in an open weight “super fight” against Pride legend Kazushi Sakuraba. Sakuraba is 46 years old, has not fought in four years and is currently on a four-fight losing streak, so this one could get ugly despite Sakuraba being the physically larger fighter. The Heavyweight Grand Prix features the likes of Former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Muhammed Lawal, former Dream standout Satoshi Ishii as well as UFC veteran Goran Reljic. Oddsmaker Nick Kalikas opened the betting lines for Rizin FF’s full card today at Several Bookmakers. The event starts at 1:00 am ET. ——————– Rizin Fighting Federation 1: Day 1 December 29, 2015 | Saitama Super Arena | Saitama, Japan Tuesday 12.29.2015 at 01:00 AM ET Kazushi Sakuraba +545 Shinya Aoki -1035 Heavyweight Tournament Opening Round Jiri Prochazka +280 Satoshi Ishii -400 Heavyweight Tournament Opening Round Goran Reljic +135 Vadim Nemkov -175 Heavyweight Tournament Opening Round Teodoras Aukstuolis 150 Bruno Cappelozza -190 Heavyweight Tournament Opening Round Brett McDermott +500 Muhammed Lawal -900 Heavyweight Tournament Alternate Fight Yuta Uchida +325 Valentin Moldavsky -475 Daiki Hata -120 Hiroyuki Takaya -120 Felipe Efrain +190 Yuki Motoya -270 —– Rizin Fighting Federation 1: Day 2 December 31, 2015 | Saitama Super Arena | Saitama, Japan Thursday 12.31.2015 at 01:00 AM ET Jaideep Singh +600 (currently +895) Fedor Emelianenko -1200 (currently -1600) Ken Hasegawa +190 Brennan Ward -270 Heavyweight Tournament Semifinals #1 Jiri Prochazka -105 Vadim Nemkov -135 Heavyweight Tournament Semifinals #2 Teodoras Aukstuolis +250 Muhammed Lawal -350 ——————– Click below to bet the fights now!
