MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Rizin Fighting Federation middleweight AJ Matthews as he prepares for his upcoming preliminary card bout tomorrow morning (Tuesday, December 29, 2015) against Anatoly Tokov at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
The Team Alliance fighter has done plenty of film study in preparation for his fight, and he’s well aware of the danger Tokov presents in all facets of mixed martial arts:
“I know that [Anatoly Tokov]’s good. He has a big record (21-2) but I watched his fights and whatever’s on YouTube and first, he understands range. Second, he can transition from striking to MMA immediately and he’s well-rounded. He’s won fights on the ground and it seems like he might have hammers in his hands and that’s what it’s about.”
