MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC featherweight Max Holloway, who defeated Jeremy Stephens via unanimous decision on the UFC 194 main card two weeks ago (December 12, 2015) in Las Vegas Nevada.
The talented featherweight is now on a seven-fight winning streak, and he broke some news about an injury he has to get taken care of before he can return to competition:
“I just went to the doctor’s and I figured out I’ve got to go have surgery on my thumb, so you heard it here first. One of my ligaments in my thumb that affects my grip, the doctor was freaking out when he was bending my thumb and I guess I got used to it over time. He said my ligament is torn. I’m gonna go get surgery but you can heal in 2-3 weeks, fully heal. I’m hoping to get on that UFC 200 card in July.”
