Conor McGregor has been all the rage in the last few days. The current UFC featherweight champion dethroned Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds a week ago in the main event of UFC 194, and now he’s clamoring for a lightweight title shot. With Rafael dos Anjos’ successful UFC lightweight title defense via first round TKO against Donald Cerrone last night (December 19, 2015) at UFC on Fox 17, there is now a pretty decent possibility McGregor could get his wish.. McGregor is one of the largest featherweights on the UFC roster and appears as if he’d have no issues making the leap to lightweight should he choose to do so. If he does get a fight against dos Anjos, McGregor would actually be an inch taller with a four inch reach advantage over the current UFC lightweight champ. For posterity’s sake, the odds for McGregor against current number one contender Frankie Edgar have also been added to the mix, should McGregor instead choose to remain at featherweight and defend his belt in early 2016.
