MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Titan FC 36 flyweight Tim Elliott as he prepares for his upcoming main event title fight next month (December 18, 2015) against Pedro Nobre at the Kansas City Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Missouri.
The current champion believes he learned something very important from Nobre’s original run in the UFC and that he has the superior mental fortitude in this title match:
“I think [Pedro Nobre]’s a great opponent and obviously he’s very skilled, but I saw in his one UFC stint that he’s a guy that can be broken. Mentally, I’m good. That’s my strongest attribute. I’m on point, I’m 100 percent and when I’m on, I feel like I can beat anybody. It’s my body that won’t keep up with my head. That gets even worse cutting down to those light weight classes. My training is getting better and I’m not all ragged from training 2-3 times a day with strength and conditioning. I was plateauing a lot, but now I’m being creative again. Technical-wise, I feel this is the best I’ve ever been.”
