Shawn Jordan: ‘The Reebok deal is restrictive, but hopefully will grow with time’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with heavyweight Shawn Jordan, who is now testing free agency since having his UFC contract expired after his last fight.

The former mid-tier UFC and Strikeforce heavyweight fighter sees both the positives and negatives of the UFC/Reebok sponsorship deal:

“The Reebok deal is restrictive. Some guys are losing money, some are making money. I think that’s gonna grow maybe with time, hopefully, kinda like with NFL. Like I’ve said before, the sport is growing so fast, the business end of it is not keeping up. Getting those big fights [outside the UFC], you can make more money in sponsorships than from fighting. That’s something I’ll definitely look into if I do get offers.”
