UFC Fight Night 79 Date: November 28, 2015 Arena: Olympic Gymnastics Arena City: Seoul, South Korea The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heads to Seoul, South Korea for the first time in promotional history with UFC Fight Night 79: Henderson vs Masvidal. The event will feature 11 bouts in entirety on UFC Fight Pass, starting with preliminary action at 5am ET and following with the main card at 8am ET. If interested in wagering on this parlay, or any bouts on this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here is my parlay: Welterweight bout: Benson Henderson (-260) vs Jorge Masvidal (+220) Gabe’s Thoughts: Henderson is going to be the fighter who is in better shape at 170-pounds in this five round main event match-up. He has a healthy approach to putting his weight on, whereas Masvidal’s only weight gaining strategy is to eat as much junk food as possible, especially Big Macs, which are his favorite. Not only that, but I think Henderson will land a higher volume of strikes over the course of five rounds to pick up a decision from the judges Octagon-side. I could see him catching Masvidal in a choke, but I think more often than not, this fight hits the judges’ scorecards for a decision, where Henderson’s hand gets raised. This is the last fight on his contract and he wants to finish it with a big win, so his offers in free agency will look a lot better. Gabe’s Call: Henderson by Unanimous Decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-46) Featherweight bout: Doo Ho Choi (-230) vs Sam Sicilia (+190) Gabe’s Thoughts: In short, I think “Superboy” is going to run through Sicilia in this match-up. I could see him dominating for all three rounds, but more often than not, I think he makes quick work of Sicilia, wrapping things up within the first stanza. I think he should be a -350 betting favorite heading into this featherweight scrap, so I like him for a leg in this two-way parlay at his current offering price of -230. Gabe’s Call: “Superboy” by T/KO (punches, 2:02 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Henderson (-260) and Choi (-230) at -102 for 3.45u to win 3.4u
