Bellator 92 Pechanga Resort and Casino, Temecula, California, U.S. Thursday, March 7, 2013 Middleweight Semifinal Fight: Brett Cooper (-145) vs. Dan Cramer (+125) Fight Breakdown: Another Bellator middleweight semi-final takes place this Thursday night at Bellator 92 as Brett Cooper takes on Dan Cramer. Cooper is currently a -145 favorite at Several Bookmakers (bet $145 to win $100), while Cramer is sitting as a +125 underdog (bet $100 to win $125). Cooper (18-7) has looked terrific in Bellator, going 5-1 in the promotion thus far with the only loss coming to Bellator World Middleweight Champion Alexander Shlemenko. In the quarterfinals, Cooper defeated Norman Paraisy via dominant unanimous decision. The 25-year-old trains at Kings MMA alongside Mark Munoz and Jake Ellenberger and his wrestling has come along nicely because of it. Against Cramer, who is a strong wrestler himself, Cooper is going to have a hard time taking him down, so he’ll have to work his standup, which he has been training with Master Rafael Cordeiro. Expect a close fight, but Cooper should have the slight edge in most facets of the game. Cramer (10-3) has also done well in Bellator, going 7-1 in the promotion so far. In the quarterfinals Cramer scored a pretty big upset over Brian Rogers so he will have a lot of momentum going into this fight. The 27-year-old currently is riding a three-fight win streak and he trains at American Top Team, which is one of the best camps in MMA right now. If Cramer can come in this fight with a solid gameplan he can definitely win this fight, but it won’t be easy because he will have a hard time taking Cooper to the ground and Cooper no doubt has more power in the standup department. Fight Prediction: This fight is going to be a grind. Both guys are going to be looking for the takedown, but with both guys being so strong I see a lot of pushing against the cage. This fight isn’t going to be very entertaining, but with Cooper fighting in his hometown, I think in a close fight the judges will give him the decision, but it will be very close. Adam’s Pick: Cooper via decision (click for latest MMA odds) Adam’s Recommended Play: This is a really tough fight to call because it’s almost a lock to go to decision and the judges, as we all know, are absolutely crazy. I would just pass on this fight from a betting perspective because why would you want your money in the hands of the judges?
