MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC 193 heavyweight Stefan Struve as he prepares for his upcoming main card bout against Jared Rosholt this Saturday night (November 14, 2015) at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
The nearly seven-foot tall mixed martial artist is brimming with confidence as he prepares to face a very tough and dangerous wrestler, but he expects nothing less than a dominant performance:
“Like every heavyweight, [Jared Rosholt]’s got power. You’ve always gotta look out for that but if I fight my fight, he’s not gonna be able to come near me. He’s not gonna be able to put his hands on me and that’s exactly what’s gonna happen. He’s gonna try to get a hold of me, put me up against the fence but we’re working so hard on turning that around, getting away from there, not ending up there and using my reach, using my striking or countering his attack and putting him on his back and submit him. That’s what’s in my head right now. He’s a really good wrestler, but he’s not an elite fighter in my opinion. He’s not even close to the level of fighter I am. That’s how I see it.”
