Bellator 145’s Daniel Straus: ‘Patricio Pitbull cries when he gets hit’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 145 featherweight Daniel Straus as he prepares for his upcoming main event title fight this Friday night (November 7, 2015) against Patricio Pitbull at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

The former Bellator champion has faced Pitbull twice before and he knows exactly what to expect from the Brazilian champion this time around:

“As a competitor, [Patricio Pitbull] is a big puncher. He swings hard, he doesn’t use a lot of his ground. He has showed his ground obviously but he comes in and does the same thing. He dances around. He picks his shots. He doesn’t like to get hit. He cries when he gets hit. Then he comes back and wants to do the same thing. For me, it’s just not getting tied up into the mental game of his, slowing the pace down and things like that. Number two is using my angles and my reach and dictating the fight the way I want it to. When it goes down, make sure it’s when I want it to go down. If it doesn’t, then get off my ass, get up, making sure the fight goes the way I want it to.”
