Gabe Killian’s Plays for Week 6 of the NFL

nflWEEK 5 RESULTS: Bengals (-165) | WIN 1.5u Cardinals (-145) | WIN 2u Chargers (-170) | LOSE 2.55u Parlay Falcons with Giants at (-130) | WIN 1.5u Bengals/Cardinals/Chargers/Falcons/Giants (+673) | LOSE .35u Total: 3-2 for +2.1u I hit the first four legs of my 5-team parlay with the Chargers left for Monday Night Football. They were ahead of the Steelers the entire game and leading by three points with 0.5 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. With less than a second remaining in the game, the Steelers opted to go for a touchdown rather than tie the game with a field goal to force overtime. Leveon Bell scored to give the Steelers a huge win, and I took the hit. Hopefully those who tailed the parlay were able to at least hedge the Monday night game after the first four Sunday games won. Now without further ado, here are my plays for Week 6 of the NFL… THURSDAY NIGHT GAME Saints +4.5 (-135) *buy 1.5 points* > Falcons The Falcons are on fire this season and the Saints are awful. That said, I think this is a good spot for them to pick up their second win of the season, while handing Atlanta their first loss. These two teams really step it up when they go against each other, and the Falcons generally play a lot better at home than they do on the road. I like the home underdogs in this match-up, as I think they have a good chance of pulling the upset. After Week 6, I think there’s a decent chance the Saints become 2-4, while the Falcons’ first taste of 2015-16 defeat puts them at 5-1. Even if the Saints don’t win, as long as they lose by four or less, we’re still in good shape. 1.35u to win 1u EARLY GAMES Bengals (-175) > Bills Cincinatti travels to Buffallo for a road game and I expect them to continue to roll and stay undefeated heading into Week 7. As long as Dalton does avoids having a multi-interception game, I think they pick up an easy win here. The Bills could keep it close and stay on their tails the whole game, but I think the Bengals take an early lead and keep it until the end. They may only be ahead by a field goal when the show is over, but they’ll be ahead nonetheless. I expect Carlos Dunlap to give the Buffalo offense some serious trouble, possibly posting a record breaking number of sacks on quarterback EJ Manuel. 3.5u to win 2u Jets (-260) > Redskins This is a home game for the Jets and a good spot for them to pick up another win and advance to 4-1, while the Redskins drop to 2-4. I think the Jets should be a -330 betting favorite here, so I like them for a straight play at their current offering Money-Line price of -260. 2.6u to win 1u Cardinals (-165) > Steelers Pittsburgh is beginning to put it together but I think Arizona is going to prove to be too much for them this Sunday. The Cardinals will travel to Pittsburgh for a road game, and I expect it to be a tough one for them.. I think the Steelers are going to give the Cardinals hell, but as long as Arizona shows up to play, I think they will get the better of Pittsburgh. This game could come down to the wire, as many football games do every week, but I think the better team, the Cardinals, will pull it out. I think Palmer is going to have a four or five touchdown game, likely connecting with Fitzgerald a couple times in the endzone. 3.3u to win 2u DAY GAME Panthers +7.5 (-140) *buy half-point* > Seahawks 2.1u to win 1.5u Panthers (+250) 1u to win 2.5u I think Carolina has a decent chance of winning outright in this match-up against Seattle. The Seahawks rarely lose at home but I think this could be one of those rare instances, as I expect this to be a closely contested game. I don’t agree with the lines here and think this game is going to be a lot closer than they suggest. In fact, I would not be surprised to see the Panthers winning with a final score like 34-17, and I have a feeling such an outcome is very realistic. Coming off a Bye Week for Week 5, the Panthers are well-rested and ready to go 5-0 for the season, while dropping the Seahawks down to 2-4. MONDAY NIGHT GAME Giants +4.5 (-117) *buy half-point* > Eagles 1.17u to win 1u I see this as being a close game that is ultimately decided by a field goal. I think Manning has a good game for the Giants and Bradford breaks out of his funk and has a solid game for the Eagles. This should be a good ‘Monday Night Football’ game with both teams really showing up to win. PARLAYS Bengals (-175), Jets (-260) and Cardinals (-165) at +249 2.05u to win 5.11u
