Over/Under Totals for UFC on FOX 16

Cat-ZinganoUFC on Fox 16 Date: July 25, 2015 Arena: United Center City: Chicago, IL The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to Chicago tomorrow night (July 25, 2015) for UFC on FOX 16: Dillashaw vs Barao. The fight card is stacked with 12 scraps, with the main card kicking off at 8pm ET on FOX and preliminary action getting going on the same channel at 6pm ET with four preliminary bouts streaming live on UFC Fight Pass priot to that at 4:15pm ET. If interested in wagering on these plays, or any plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my Over/Under Totals for UFC on FOX 16: Women’s Bantamweight bout: Jessica Eye (+185) vs Miesha Tate (-200) Gabe’s Thoughts: I lean towards the veteran Tate getting her hand in this match-up but do not quite agree with the current betting odds, as I think this fight is closer than they suggest. I think there is some value in Eye for a bet at +185, however I am opting against it and am taking the total of Under 2.5 rounds at +230, instead. The reason for that is because if Eye does indeed win, I think there is a good chance she gets it done inside the distance and in under two and a half rounds of action. On the same note, I think Tate also has a decent chance of finishing this fight on the mat with what I believe is a superior submission game. Whether in top position on the mat or finding herself on her back with Eye on top, I think Tate will have a decent chance of pulling off a submission. I think a decision win for Tate is slightly more likely, but believe a finish also has a good chance of occuring, and at +230 for either of these ladies to end this fight, I see enough value to warrant a small play. Gabe’s Call: Tate by Verbal Submission (armbar, 4:45 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Under 2.5 rounds (+230) 1.5u to win 3.45u Bantamweight bout: Bryan Caraway (+125) vs Eddie Wineland (-135) Gabe’s Thoughts: Caraway has the edge in grappling and Wineland has the edge in striking. Wineland also has very good takedown defense, so that makes me slightly favor him in this 135-pound contest. The reason I say slightly is because he is coming off a year-long extended layoff following a second broken jaw surgery, so that makes me a lot less confident in him. However, what I do feel pretty confident in is this fight going past the two and a half round mark and likely to a judges’ decision. I don’t like either fighters chances of scoring a finish within 12.5 minutes of action in this contest, as at the current asking price of -122, I see plenty of value in the total of Over 2.5 rounds and will be making a move on it. Gabe’s Call: Wineland by Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Over 2.5 rounds (-122) 3.9u to win 3.2u
