If interested on making this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. My Fights to AVOID betting for UFC Fight Night 72 are: Lightweight bout: Ivan Jorge (+550) vs Joe Duffy (-800) Gabe’s Thoughts: In short, I think Duffy dominates this fight and ultimately stops Jorge. The Over/Under total is set at 1.5 rounds, which makes me unsure for a bet, even though I favor Duffy to get the job done inside the distance. I could see Jorge making it past 1.5 rounds, so I can’t pull the trigger on that. If the total was set at 2.5 rounds, I would be all over that Under. While I expect this fight to be a walk in the park for Duffy, I don’t think he is worth betting at -800, especially on a card like this that offers plenty of good match-ups to wager on. I expect Duffy to live up to his -800 betting line, but this will be a fight I avoid at the sportsbook come tomorrow. Gabe’s Call: Duffy by T/KO (punches, 4:31 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: AVOID Lightweight bout: Mickael Lebout (+115) vs Teemu Packalen (-135) Gabe’s Thoughts: I lean with Lebout to pick up the win in this match-up, partially due to the fact that he has Octagon experience against a veteran, while Packalen is making his promotional debut. I think there is some value in Lebout at his current underdog price of +115, however not quite enough for me to pull the trigger for a wager. However, I can’t blame anybody for betting him at dog odds here. More than anything, I think this is a fight that will answer questions about both 155-pound prospects, so it’s best to avoid betting and just enjoy. Gabe’s Call: Lebout by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: AVOID
